I am a lover of shape and color…
My work is a mixture of the real and the abstract - organic movement expressed in solid, bold forms. My mind is constantly energized by the environments around me. I get lost in observing the patterns of living things and how they relate to the spaces they inhabit. My work reflects how these relationships exist in both the natural world and the manmade habitats we create for ourselves. Images flow from my mind interpreting the unity between nature and the perceptive soul as I explore shape and composition within these spaces. My work encourages viewers to open their eyes to what’s important; mental and physical well-being, respect for living things, the personal experience of this world around us - and what this experience is trying to teach us. I believe celebrating both the miracles and imperfections of life outside of ourselves can often improve the internal, a lesson I fear so many are losing grasp of as time goes on.
